Model-Driven Development With Sculpture

November 11
by Peter Bahaa 11. November 2008 19:09

One day, I was wondering why we can’t inject business logic into visual studio and it just create all our project layers, Database even screens, That was a dream one day, but now it starts to be true, I talked with DashSoft CEO Remon Zakaria on this and with my project manager Stephen Forte , and Steve told me that Microsoft will release this on 2012 , I really get disappointed and I give searching on this issue,

In PDC2008 they start announcing about Oslo , the new molding platform will enable model-driven applications , you can see all PDC2008 sessions about Oslo here http://channel9.msdn.com/tags/pdc2008.oslo/

Yesterday we hired a new Software Engineer Called Noran Ezzat, actually  she is one of the team that coded Sculpture , its a .NET open source Model-Driven Development code generation framework ideal for creating and managing .NET Enterprise Applications, you can’t imaging how its so easy, later this month they will release the UI generation functionality, also it comes with a host of ready-made Molds (The word “Molds” come from Molding) like (DAAB, NHibernate, LINQ, WCF, ASMX, SQL Server, MYSQL …), and changing its template is more than easy, actually I can’t wait to see their final release.
